About Us
Bee Origin, Crafted with Quiet Precision
From Romania’s Sângeorz-Băi to Chicago, our family bottles small-batch, raw & unfiltered honey with the same patience our grandfather taught—care for the bees, respect the bloom, and let the honey speak for itself.
Our Story
Bee Origin began long before a name existed for it. In Sângeorz-Băi, Bistrița (Romania), our grandfather kept bees with a steady hand and simple standards. Our father remembers watching him work the hives as a child—curious eyes at five years old, taking in the rhythm of the apiary. Years later, he started with two hives of his own, learning from family, local beekeepers, and every trusted source he could find. Hobby turned into craft—and craft into quiet devotion.
At first, Kevin kept his distance (the stings didn’t help). But after joining a few hive checks, the fear faded. Seeing a colony move as one—then tasting fresh, floral honey straight from the comb—changed everything. Our beekeeping journey eventually crossed the ocean to the Chicago area, where we continue the work as a family. Different country, same principles.
What We Stand For
- Raw & unfiltered: gently handled—no high heat and no over-processing.
- Nothing added, ever: just honey, bottled as it comes from the comb.
- Small-batch by season & place: we honor natural character instead of forcing uniformity.
- Transparency: clear labels, honest practices, consistent quality.
The Neamt Family Touch
You’ll see a subtle Neamt Family note on select runs. It’s not about status—it’s about responsibility. If our name is on the jar, it meets the standard our grandfather set and our father refined.
How We Harvest & Bottle
We follow a straightforward process: thoughtful hive inspections, respectful timing of the flow, gentle extraction, and patient settling. The result is honey that reflects the flowers it came from—no shortcuts, no noise.
Taste & Pairing Notes
Our Linden (Basswood) harvest is bright and floral with a delicate, natural minty finish. It’s an easy companion for tea, toast, cheese boards, yogurt, and baking. Expect natural variation in color and flavor with each season’s bloom.
Our Promise
We bottle with care and stand behind every jar. If you’re not delighted, we’ll make it right with simple, friendly returns.
Safety note: Do not feed honey to infants under 1 year of age.
